Live Pics and Impresions Of The HTC Tattoo

The guys over at the HD Blog got their hands on a HTC Tattoo. The Tattoo will be the second Android Phone with HTC Sense and it should be launching at the end of October… apparently with 1.6 Donut according to the article.

They said the software version they had and used was “immature” until they got an update recently that greatly improved things. Exactly what the means I don’t know, but they put it through paces and said battery lasted 96+ hours.

They also enjoyed the integrated FM radio and said the resistive display sensitivity is good (but no multi-touch). While it is destined to be a mid to low-level Android Phone, it still remains in the Smartphone class because, well… that’s what Android is all about.

HTC Click video

Several intriguing Android-based handsets have rolled out recently, such as the HTC Hero and Samsung Galaxy, but the market demand for a more affordable Android device that would appeal to the broad public has been growing steadily. There's a good chance that the HTC Click, featured below, will be just that.

The handset has already caused some tongues to wag, but we hadn´t seen it action before the video appeared. Thanks to its creators, the Tihn Te website, we know more about the much anticipated device.

The HTC Click will feature smaller display than the Magic. The overall design is pretty appealing, although I think the owner himself is responsible for the fine dragon pattern details visible on the back panel.

The video reveals the software version is 1.50.999.0 and that the Click will come equipped with a 3.5mm jack. Unfortunately, it won´t be running Sense UI, but the standard Android interface that we know well from the Magic and G1.

The Magic that the Click is compared to in the video footage is running the HTC´s personalized interface.

HTC Click - more details & a new pic

Ok, we reported yesterday that a device apparently known as the HTC Click. Replacing the trackball is a 5 way D-Pad.

Latest is that the Click is expected to use the Qualcomm Brew Mobile Platform and not the HTC Sense UI over the Android platform as was previously reported. That may change again, who knows in these crazy times.

The device is rumoured to emerge in September or October.

What is the HTC Click?

Is This Yet Another HTC Android Phone?

French website PointGPhone has found these pics somewhere... Alledgedly showing an entry-level Android Phone that features a 2.8 inch screen (estimated), no keyboard and no trackball, which has been a feature of all HTC Android phones up to this point.

.. Interesting. More details as they come to hand.
